Formerly known as SCARR Engineering, Lucky Dog Manufacturing was established in Iowa in 2008.
We specialize in developing and manufacturing custom parts for motor vehicle and other applications. In tribute to our SCARR Engineering days, we carry our SCARR product line of Silvey chain grinder parts. We also provide customization and repair services for chainsaws, motor vehicles, and more.

WHY LUCKY DOG?
We are named for our dog, Duke. His story inspired us to make him our namesake. Duke is the lucky dog and we're so glad that he's our lucky dog.
DUKE'S STORY
Duke was born outdoors on one of the hottest days of 2016. With little shelter from the harsh elements, his large litter quickly dwindled, until only three puppies remained. Thankfully, a local animal rescue learned of their plight and saved Duke and his two remaining siblings. Duke - then named Chancey, got his first "lucky chance" at life. He was adopted at seven weeks old, weighing just 3.5 lbs, and with a belly full of worms. The fight for his life was back on. But Lady Luck was on his side again and he got better, grew bigger and stronger, and became the best good boy that he is today. Lucky three times, Duke now lives the good life on an acreage with our other rescue dog, Stella, rescue barn cats, and a flock of chickens.
